Why do you take my credit card number when I book an appointment?
We take your credit card number when you book with us in order to guarantee your spot. As we get to know you and you become a friend of Studio J, we no longer require your credit card information to book. Please do rest assured that your information will always remain completely confidential and you do not need to pay for your services with the credit card you provide.
What happens if I miss my appointment?
We request 48 hours notice for cancellations. This is a courtesy so we can better serve all of our clients. If we don’t get 48 hours notice, or if you miss your appointment without letting us know, we do reserve the right to charge you for your booked time.
What if I’m late for my appointment?
Please let us know! However, please realize that arriving late for your appointment will limit the time we can spend on your service, which may reduce its effectiveness and your enjoyment. Your treatment will end on time so that our next guest is not delayed.
Do you book groups?
Absolutely! We book party's of all kinds for groups of all sizes. Tell us what you'd like and we'll tell you what we can do to create the best party ever! For your ease, when booking groups of 3 or more, we add a minimum gratuity of 18% to your bill. (Please note: A deposit is required when booking and for individuals and groups of 2, there is a minimum 18% gratuity required when multiple services are booked.)
What is an appropriate rate for tipping?
Just like restauranteurs, estheticians make a portion of their wages in tips, and just like in restaurants, tipping is based on merit. Tips usually range from 10-20% of the cost of services before taxes. You do not need to tip on the cost of retail purchases.
Can I have my cell phone in the spa?
We want very much to preserve our quiet and peaceful environment for all of our guests, so we ask that you either turn off your phone or leave it on vibrate when in our lounge and our treatment rooms.
Can I bring my children to the spa?
To maintain our calm and quiet environment, and for the safety of your children, we ask that you do not bring children under 12 to the inner quiet areas of our spa, unless they are enjoying a Studio J treatment.
