Although Studio J officially moved into our new digs on January 22, 2008, it took some time to prepare for a great event. Guests enjoyed refreshments, snacks... and marvelous prizes -- including a spa day for two, dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House and a night at The Union Bank Inn.
#9 - Studio J's Signature Martini
I designed this martini with the help of tasters - Brian & Ida Kaliel and Mark Kandborg. I had 10 martinis lined up for tasting and # 9 was the winner.
1 1/2 oz. cherry brandy (#9 was made with the brandy that the cherries
soaked in for my mothers famous chocolate dipped cherries)
1/2 oz. soho
1 oz. pomegranate & black currant juice
splash of lemon
Stir or shake with ice, and I personally like to garnish with a pitted lychee.
*Just a note*
On the evening of the Grand Opening, it was premixed in large quantity and there was a tiny bit of sparkling water added to the glass (not shaken).
Also, you can replace the cherry brandy with 1 oz. of raspberry vodka for another option. Also really, really good!
